Grab a holiday bargain – summer is coming.

February 23, 2017 Saving Tips

It may only be approaching April, but we can’t help but start thinking – and dreaming – about summer. Daylight is slowly playing a bigger part of the day. No longer are we leaving work to be greeted by cold and darkness; summer is coming, ladies and gentlemen.

Holiday season isn’t far off now, but when is the best time to book?

If you like to be spontaneous or don’t like a plan, you should check out websites like https://www.onthebeach.co.uk/ and http://www.lastminute.com/. They have some great last minute deals, worth checking out. One of our team recently bagged a £110 deal for 7 nights in Costa Del Sol. There is no harm in looking!

If you aren’t so spontaneous, are there any other ways you can bag a holiday bargain? Well, yes, there are.

Skyscanner, one of the leading price-comparison websites, have said booking seven weeks in advance increases your chances of bagging a bargain for somewhere in Europe. Meanwhile, booking 18 weeks ahead is likely to secure cheapest fares to places such as Bangkok and New York.

Kayak go on to dive a little deeper. For Barcelona, it is advisable to book 8 months ahead of summer, and it’s always best to depart on Saturdays and return on a Friday.

However, these websites don’t state the best options for families who want to book in advance for holidays over Christmas and other school holidays. Booking much further in advance is our suggestion. Seek out the best bargain 10 months prior.

If you’re looking to the Caribbean for your next get-away, we suggest booking 8-12 weeks prior for the best deals. But nothing is set in stone. Keep checking through-out the year – you may find a bargain along the way. The more time you put into your search, the more you get out of it.

If you find a bargain holiday which you need to book immediately, and are struggling with paying a deposit, you can always apply for a payday loan with Loan Line. The interest you will pay on the loan, could cost significantly less than what you would lose on the deal itself. However, before accepting the pay day loan with the lender, be sure to calculate each option to find the best option for you.
